Cut the length double the length you need. (6 yards long for
a 54″ shawl or 6-2/3yards long for a 60″ shawl)

So, if you tell yourself something often enough your subconscious will eventually come to believe it. If you repeat something often enough whether it be positive or negative it will become your reality. This is because your subconscious mind constantly strives to attract the material equivalent of your most frequent and prominent thoughts.

It is impossible for a negative mind to attract positive things. If you’re thinking about problems constantly you will find them. Is it possible to overcome negative and pessimistic thinking with postive thoughts? You bet it is! And it’s someting which can be easily learned.

It’s all a matter of conditioning. You can train your mind to think positive thoughts the same way you can learn anything else.

The answer, of course, is that there is not a set time to stop. Some mothers will stop much sooner than most and some will carry on breastfeeding long after than is strictly necessary.

Most doctors would recommend breastfeeding for at least a year; the World Health Organization suggests two years. Many mothers stop long before the recommended year and the reasons they do are numerous. Some stop out of the necessity of returning back to work. This doesn’t have to be so, as a mother can breastfeed her child before and after work. Many employers now provide creches where mothers can continue to breastfeed. Even if this isn’t an option, mothers can express their milk and this can be fed to the child during the day whilst the mother is away and normal breastfeeding can be resumed upon her return.

Another reason for early cessation is because of the intolerable pain of sore nipples. This is understandable as all breastfeeding mothers feel some degree of discomfort. Learning the right attachment techniques can alleviate soreness as can other preventative measures, such as keeping nipples moist, and feeding baby at regular intervals and allowing baby their fill, rather than short and frequent feeds.

Second quarter St. Louis business bankruptcy filings climbed to their highest number since the beginning of the recession, according to a report by Hoffman Clark Certified Public Accountants and Consultants.

The Hoffman Clark St. Louis Business Bankruptcy Trends Report shows that St. Louis business bankruptcy filings for the 2nd quarter of 2010 increased 20.9 percent, compared to filings in the 1st quarter. The 2nd quarter business bankruptcy filings totaled 110, an increase of 19 filings as compared to the 1st quarter. This is the greatest amount of bankruptcy filings by businesses in St. Louis over the course of the recession the past two years, according to the Hoffman Clark press release.

On an annual basis, St. Louis business bankruptcy filings for the 12-month period ending June 30 increased 13.5 percent, compared to same prior year time period. St. Louis business bankruptcy filings for the 12-month period ending June 30 totaled 412, compared to 363 business bankruptcy cases filed in the 12-month period ending June 30, 2009, an increase of 49 filings

One of the college age girls in the cast that my 13-year old daughter, Amber, really likes and viewed as an older sister role model, invited Amber to spend the night and part of the next day with her. But when the night came, she suddenly couldn’t do it, giving the explanation that she needed to clean her apartment instead. When Amber offered to help with the cleaning, she declined. We later found out a boy had offered to come over and fix dinner for her and a friend.

When I learned of this I was livid and indignant. How dare she treat my daughter this way? I was ready to call her and point out in very clear and angry terms the error of her ways.
