In order to induce your prospect to leave their information you will have to offer them something; it could be a free subscription to your newsletter, a free report or a free e- course. It must be something of value and it should have the same theme as your website.
For example, If you have a site that caters to dog owners you could offer a 7 part course on how to Groom your dog. You could set up 7 Lessons in advance and put them in your auto-responder. The auto responder I use is Aweber Systems. I have been using them for years and have been very happy with them.
