New pound(s)180k clinic lets you add Botox to your shopping list

SHOPPERS can indulge in celeb favourite Botox or a treatment favoured by Angelina Jolie at a new specialist skin clinic in a city department store.

Independent firm DestinationSkin has unveiled its first Scots outlet in Frasers on Buchanan Street.

Described as a “non-surgical beauty clinic”, the pound(s)180,000 venture has four treatment rooms and offers advanced anti-ageing, hair removal and other beautifying treatments.

CEO Ella Tracey said: “We can see Glasgow’s fashion-forward in beauty treatments as well as fashion.

“We’ll definitely expand elsewhere in Scotland, but Glasgow is simply the biggest and best market for us.

“We call it ‘bringing Harley Street to the High Street’. UK women don’t tend to have dermatologists and orthodontists so what we’re trying to do it bring it all under one roof, make accessible and also a very safe environment. We are highly regulated.

“We have affordable ways for clients to pay, we have a direct debit scheme. We did 80,000 treatments last year and we have a really good safety record.

“People are looking for something that gives them results. We spend a lot of time and energy researching that it does work.”

Prices range from pound(s)45 for thread vein removal via advanced electrolysis to around pound(s)3000 for cellulite removal with a Smooth- shape laser machine which liquidises fat.

A dermaroller treatment, in which hundreds of ultra-fine needles are inserted into the skin via a scary- looking device to create a plumped up, line-free look is also expected to be sought-after by Glasgow women keen to roll back the years.

It is a favourite of actress Angelina Jolie and other stars and is said to improve scarring and make the face look younger. However, it’s not cheap, with a course of three sessions priced at pound(s)600.
